When you delete a field:

• The field is removed from all asset types where it was associated.
• All field values on existing assets are permanently deleted.
• The field cannot be recovered after deletion, and cannot be reused for new fields.

• "Assets: Manage" permission
• Full seat

Predefined fields (FIELD_TYPE_PREDEFINED) cannot be deleted. Only custom fields (FIELD_TYPE_CUSTOM) created by your organization can be removed.
