Provision a sensor

Use this endpoint to register your own sensor hardware to your SafetyCulture organization.

Requirements

This API is not intended for provisioning sensors purchased from SafetyCulture. To install those sensors, see the Sensor self-installation guide.

⚠️

Sensors provisioned via this API will not appear in the SafetyCulture web or mobile apps. They are available for API use only and are not linked to assets or listed in the platform's sensor list.

The parameters for ProvisionSensorRequest

The id of the device that is being provisioned.

string

The sensor name.

string

IANA TZ Database timezone for the sensor.

string

The location name for the sensor.

string

Optional. The SafetyCulture Directory Site ID (leaf-level site) to
associate the sensor with. Distinct from the legacy location tag.
