Use this endpoint to set or change an asset's geographic coordinates. The updated location appears on the asset's profile page and in the map view.

Asset location in SafetyCulture can be determined by:

• Inspections: Location data captured when an inspection is conducted on the asset.
• External integrations: GPS data from connected telematics or asset management systems via this API.

If your organization uses site-based access for assets, the API only updates assets that the API token’s user can access through their site membership.
