This API provides a number of interfaces to interact with the SafetyCulture platform.
Apps refer to third-party applications that integrate data with the SafetyCulture platform that allows users in your organization to benefit from a broader range of tools and solutions. You can embed apps within the SafetyCulture platform using iframes to enhance and leverage its core capabilities and provide a seamless experience for your users to interact with the app without leaving the SafetyCulture environment.
Before you begin
This API is currently in Beta. Please expect potential changes and updates to the functionality and endpoints.
Apps can be categorized into the following types:
- Private app: A private app is a custom-built application created by anyone with a SafetyCulture organization. It is specifically designed for internal use, and only authorized users within the organization can access the app in the SafetyCulture platform once it's embedded. For example, you can create a private app that tracks employee hours, attendance, and shift schedules to allow managers in your team to monitor your workforce availability and align it to inspection schedules and actions in the SafetyCulture platform.
- Marketplace app: A marketplace app is a custom-built application created by a SafetyCulture partner that is publicly available to anyone with a SafetyCulture organization to purchase and use. Only registered SafetyCulture partners are permitted to release an app in the marketplace.
To get started, take a look at our step-by-step guide for creating and installing private apps in your SafetyCulture organization.
Please note that apps are only available to organizations on the Enterprise Plan and to SafetyCulture Partners and can only be managed by users with the "Platform management: Organization" permission.

SafetyCulture is not responsible for the content or actions of third-party applications ("apps"). All support for apps is provided by the respective app vendor. By installing and using these apps, customers acknowledge that these may pose security or privacy risks. Customers are responsible for conducting their own due diligence and should only install apps from vendors they trust. In addition, some marketplace apps may incur additional costs, which must be paid directly by the customer to the app vendor.
